Estonia sees Poland as attractive investment location, president says
Estonian President Alar Karis has said Poland is a major trade partner for his country within Central Europe and pointed to Estonia's education and technology sectors as showing a growing interest in investing in Poland.

Karis and Polish President Andrzej Duda held a joint press conference in Tallinn on Tuesday following their bilateral discussions.
"Poland stands as one of Estonia's most significant trade partners in Central Europe," Karis said. "Estonian companies, especially those in the education and technology sectors, have seen increasing opportunities to operate businesses in Poland."
He went on to say that Estonia had "much to offer and we also await Polish entrepreneurs to come to Estonia and do business here."
Karis argued that Duda's visit testified to the strong relations between the two countries.
"We are linked by a common perspective on Europe, we also share responsibilities and concerns," he added.
The Estonian president also mentioned the urgency for Europe to act while Russia continued its war against Ukraine.
"We must bolster our security in NATO and Europe and we need to take action," he said. "We need more investment in the development of defence capabilities, in increasing the readiness of the defence industry."
Estonia, a country of just over 1.35 million people and a former Soviet republic, remains concerned about Russia's growing assertiveness and its renewed imperial ambitions. (PAP)
