Poland to continue aiding Ukraine, says defence minister
Poland is going to continue providing assistance to Ukraine without interruption, Minister of National Defence Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz has announced.

Kosiniak-Kamysz was asked on Tuesday to comment on US President Donald Trump's decision to pause all military aid to Ukraine to ensure that it contributed to resolving the country's conflict with Russia.
The Polish defence minister said that in the present context, Poland needed to intensify its support to Ukraine to keep Russia "as far away from here as possible".
"We train (Ukrainian - PAP) soldiers, deliver equipment, help with transportation, and we are going to keep doing this, as such is the national interest of the Republic of Poland," said Kosiniak-Kamysz. "Those who do not understand that are deeply mistaken," he added. "Today, one must support Ukraine, because the harder it fights... the more it depletes the military capability of the Russian Federation."
Kosiniak-Kamysz also expressed hope that the pause in US military aid to Ukraine was only temporary. "I believe that the review of that assistance will not last too long," he said, reiterating his stance that Poland was continuing its operations in this respect without any interruption. (PAP)
