"Justyna Magdalena Beyer, nee Witkowska, is among the victims (of the plane crash - PAP)," Pawel Wronski, a spokesperson for the foreign ministry, told PAP on Friday. He added that the complete list of victims was yet unknown.

Earlier, the US news outlet NBC News had reported that Beyer, aged 42, and her 12-year-old daughter Brielle were among those who perished in the incident. The residents of Aldie near Washington were returning home from Wichita, Kansas, where Brielle, a promising young figure-skater, attended practice sessions.

Figure skaters from other countries, such as Russia and China, were also travelling on the crashed plane.

Sixty-seven people were believed killed when an American Airlines regional passenger jet collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter on Wednesday and crashed into the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. (PAP)
