Trump, who will take office on January 20, was already a guest at the Three Seas Summit in Warsaw in 2017.
The Three Seas Initiative is format of regional cooperation aimed at improving connectivity between 13 EU member states located between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas.
"In this sense, the possible presence of the US president would be a kind of a 'buckle', especially as this will be the tenth anniversary summit of the Three Seas Initiative," Mieszko Pawlak, head of Duda's International Policy Bureau, told PAP.
Apart from the presidents of countries involved in the initiative, heads of state of the Initiative's partners will also be invited, including Trump, Pawlak added.
The formal invitation will be sent to Trump after he is sworn into office, while the summit is planned to take place on April 28-29, 2025, Pawlak said. (PAP)
