Europe must take its security seriously, Polish FM says in Munich
Europe needs to start taking its security seriously, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said following the Munich Security Conference on Sunday.

Sikorski told reporters that this was "the strong signal from this conference" and the same as the one coming earlier from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky "from the depths of his country's war tragedy."
"I hope that all Polish politicians will finally understand that the choice in Europe is between Brussels and Moscow. And I hope that no one will have any more illusions, because Ukraine says it knowing what it is saying," he said.
Sikorski also said that another important message at the conference came from the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula Von der Leyen, "about loosening the shackles of budget discipline, which will allow European countries to spend more money on defence."
On Saturday, Von der Leyen said in Munich that EC will propose to activate the escape clause in the bloc's fiscal rules in a bid to "substantially" boost member states' defence investment. (PAP)
