Polish computer game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its creator CD Projekt Red studio have received three statuettes at The Games Awards Gala in Los Angeles, including the main award Game of the Year.

CD Projekt Red was also named Developer of the Year, and The Witcher 3 - Best Role Playing Game.

In the last edition of The Games Awards (TGA), the Polish game was named Most Anticipated Game in the Fans' Choice category.

Released in May 2015, The Witcher 3 has been nominated in seven categories, more than any other production in this year's TGA competition.

Both the game and its creator have repeated their success from the Golden Stick Gala, a previous industry event, where they won the Ultimate Game of The Year award, Best Storytelling and Best Visual Design as well as Best Gaming Moment.

The Games Awards is an annual event of presenting awards to best games and studios as selected by a panel of 30 industry press judges from all over the world. This year's gala was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and broadcast live via online services Twitch and YouTube. (PAP)
