"We have an ambitious plan for Poland's development, a plan that is based on six key pillars," Domanski said at the "Poland. Year of Breakthrough" conference on Monday.

The minister indicated that the first pillar is investment in science and research. "Secondly - energy transformation, thirdly - modern technologies, fourthly - the development of ports and modernisation of railways, fifthly - a dynamic capital market... and perhaps the most important thing, support and cooperation with business," he listed.

According to Domanski, the government strategy focuses primarily on investments supported by economic analysis. Tusk added that investment in Poland in 2025 will exceed PLN 650 billion (EUR 155 bln).

"This is a record amount; there has never been such a sum in the history of the Polish economy," he said.

"Our goal is to join the ranks of the richest countries, not only in the European Union, but the richest countries in the world," Domanski said. "Building a strong, dynamic, but also secure economy - an economy resistant to external shocks." (PAP)
