Poland's Internal Security Agency (ABW) have apprehended a German citizen involved in the trade of machinery that had been diverted to Russia for use in arms production.

The individual was apprehended on November 20 in the Lubuskie province, in western Poland, ABW reported on its website on Wednesday.

Jacek Dobrzynski, the spokesperson for the minister-coordinator of security agencies, wrote on the X portal that a German national had been detained in conjunction with illegal business activities.

The prosecution office in the western city of Gorzow Wielkopolski, which is managing the case, has leveled charges against the suspect for facilitating and exporting dual-use goods to the Russian Federation.

The suspect admitted his guilt and expressed his intention to willingly accept a penalty, as reported by the ABW website. (PAP)
