Prosecution notified of MP's hostile remark against Polish PM
MP Edward Siarka, from the main opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, has been reported to the prosecutors following his "bullet to the head" remark against Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the prosecution spokesperson told PAP on Friday.

During Thursday's debate in the lower house, the former PiS justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro said that "Donald Tusk will land in jail," after which Siarka shouted "a bullet to the head." He later apologised for his words.
The MP said that he meant the words to refer to a patriotic poem by Wladyslaw Broniewski and that "familiar phrases that can be shocking come back through emotions."
The notification of the suspicion of Edward Siarka committing a crime was sent to the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw by MEP Krzysztof Brejza of the ruling Civic Coalition (PO).
The Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar announced on Friday that he would also be submitting a notification on the matter.
"The District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw has initiated a verification procedure," Spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office Przemyslaw Nowak confirmed.
Speaker of the Sejm, the lower house, Szymon Holownia requested the highest fine of PLN 20,000 (EUR 4,800) for Siarka. (PAP)
