Trump's tariffs to cut Poland's GDP by 0.4 pct, PM says
Preliminary estimates have shown that the blanket tariffs on the EU, announced by the US administration on Wednesday, may reduce the Polish economic output by 0.4 percent, Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said.

Trump's administration has announced new sweeping tariffs on most countries, including a 20-percent blanket levy on imports from the EU.
"According to an initial estimate, the new US tariffs may decrease the Polish GDP by 0.4 percent, so in a cautious simplification the losses will exceed PLN 10 billion (EUR 2.39 billion - PAP)," Tusk wrote on the X platform on Thursday.
"A severe and unpleasant blow, because (it comes - PAP) from the closest ally, but we'll survive," he continued. "Our Polish-American friendship must also endure the ordeal."
The EU is still considering the kind of retaliatory steps it will take in response. (PAP)
