Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska on Sunday won the China Open Premier tennis tournament in Beijing, China, after defeating Johanna Konta of Great Britain 6-4, 6-2.

Radwanska played Konta for the second time. Their first match in Cincinnati was also won by Radwanska.

This is Radwanska's 20th WTA title.

In the semifinals Radwanska defeated Elina Svitolina of Ukraine.

The prize money in the China Open tournament is USD 5.42 million.

In early October Radwanska moved up from fourth place back to world number three in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking.

Konta become the first British woman to break into the top 10 of the WTA rankings since Jo Durie in 1984.

The ranking is led by Germany's Angelique Kerber, who is followed by Serena Williams of the U.S. (PAP)
