A column of cars and motorcycles decorated with flags and patriotic banners began their ride around the Polish capital, with speeches and patriotic songs broadcast via radio.
Though organisers invited only drivers, motorcyclists and cyclists to the event after the march had been banned due to coronavirus restrictions, hundreds of pedestrians carrying Polish national flags and flares decided to join the rally.
The march, which takes place on November 11, attracts tens of thousands each year, but it has also been marred by violence and the presence of far-right groups. (PAP)
