Duda's visit helps build relations with China

Polish President Andrzej Duda has expressed the hope that his visit to Beijing will contribute to the development of positive relations between Poland and China.

On Monday, Duda met Xi Jinping, the president of the People's Republic of China (PRC) while on his visit to China. 

He said that his presence in Beijing was very important and symbolic. 

"Next August, I will conclude my mission as president of the Republic of Poland with a deep sense that this visit has contributed to the further building of relations between Poland and China," he said. "I hope that these relations will continue to develop in the future as well."

According to him, the relationship between the two countries includes "good diplomatic relations, political relations and interpersonal relations based on mutual respect." (PAP)
