Finance ministry sees Poland's growth in 3.1-3.7 pct range in 2024-27

The Polish economic growth will be in the range of 3.1 to 3.7 percent in the coming four years, the Ministry of Finance said in its 'Multi-annual Financial Plan of the State', published on Tuesday.

The GDP growth will reach 3.1 percent, 3.7 percent, 3.4 percent and 3.0 percent in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027, respectively, the ministry said.

CPI inflation is expected to reach 5.2 percent in 2024 and to decline to 4.1 percent in 2025, according to the ministry. In 2026 and 2027, the CPI will decline to 3.3 and 2.5 percent, respectively.

The general government deficit will reach 5.1 percent of GDP this year and will go down to 4.4 percent of GDP next year, the ministry forecast. In 2026 and 2027, it will decline to 3.8 percent and 3.3 percent of GDP, respectively.

The country's unemployment will reach 5 percent at the end of this year and will decline to 4.9 percent in 2025, according to the ministry. The average wage will go up by 11.9 percent in 2024 and by 7.1 percent in 2025. (PAP)
