Polish FM invites French president to Poland

Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz, on behalf of President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, on Friday invited French President Emmanuel Macron to Poland.

Czaputowicz spoke with Macron on the sidelines of the general debate of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)in New York. 

"I extended the invitation to President Macron from President Andrzej Duda and PM Mateusz Morawiecki to visit Poland. It is an open invitation and we would like this visit to take place," Czaputowicz told Poland's Polsat News channel on Friday. 

The minister pointed out that the invitation was positively received, but it is too early to speak about details. (PAP)
