Polish natural gas monopolist PGNiG has launched gas supplies to Ukraine under a cooperation deal with Ukrainian company ERU Trading, PGNiG said in a news release on Thursday.

"The launch of natural gas supplies to Ukraine under a contract with ERU Trading confirms that trade conditions offered by PGNiG are competitive and thus attractive both for domestic and foreign customers. I am pleased that cooperation with ERU Trading enhanced PGNiG's portfolio of natural gas customers, strengthening our presence in neighbouring countries. Supplies of natural gas to the Ukrainian market are an element of the company's trade policy," PGNiG's Wholesale Trade Director Bartlomiej Korzeniewski was quoted as saying in the statement.

ERU Trading is a leading private gas supplier in Ukraine. The company deals with portfolio management and offers import and export services in the segments of power, petroleum products, coal, agricultural products and other commodities. (PAP)
