Poland will on Thursday afternoon launch a mobile application for people under quarantine due to the coronavirus epidemic, President Andrzej Duda announced on Thursday.

The application will provide advice and support, helping people to follow the quarantine requirements. The two-week quarantine requirement applies to all Poles returning from abroad as well as those who had contact with infected people.

Reporting on the Thursday meeting of the Government Crisis Management Team, Duda said that the discussion focused on cross-border traffic and border protection.

Poland will launch special trains that will transport Ukrainian citizens from Poland's western border to the border with Ukraine.

The president said that during the meeting he had reported on his Wednesday's telephone talks with the presidents of Latvia and Ukraine. (PAP)
