Morawiecki wrote on Facebook that the aid will mainly consist of medical materials and experienced rescuers.
Earlier on Wednesday Poland's State Fire Service informed that it was ready to send a 50-strong rescue team, including 39 rescuers with 4 dogs and a chemical rescuer team, to Beirut.
On Wednesday the Lebanese Red Cross informed that the explosion killed at least a hundred people and injured at least four thousand. According to Lebanese authorities it occurred during welding work in a harbour depot containing unsecured ammonium nitrate.
The explosion was so strong it could be heard in Cyprus, 240 kilometres away from Beirut. (PAP)
