"May this Christmas time be full of joy, faith, smile and mutual goodwill," Poland’s head of government Beata Szydlo said in a message posted on the website of her Prime Minister’s Office.

"We all look forward to Christmas, this extraordinary time when we can stop and reflect on what's most important," Szydlo said in her message.

"When Christ is born, hope and love come to us together with Him," Szydlo also said, adding that Christmas time is a time when people want to be better and see the world around them "change for the better."

"Sharing the wafer we believe that everything falls into place when we are together," Szydlo said. (PAP)
