Poland's Kaczmarek takes bronze in 400m race at Paris Olympics

Poland's Natalia Kaczmarek, with a time of 48.98, won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris in the 400 m race.

The gold medal went to Marileidy Paulino from the Dominican Republic, who beat the Olympic record with a time of 48.17. Silver went to Salwa Eid Nasser from Bahrain - 48.53.

This is the first medal for Polish track and field athletes in Paris and Kaczmarek's third Olympic medal. Three years ago in Tokyo, she won gold in the mixed relay and silver in the 4x400 m relay. (PAP)
