Poland's President Andrzej Duda will not be attending the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, as the event is in question, the President's Office said on Wednesday.

The US-led summit scheduled for October 12 is likely to be postponed due to the absence of US President Joe Biden.

Information on a new date for the UDCG meeting will be made public after receiving the details, the office said.

The White House Spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday that the US president has postponed this week's planned visit to Germany to oversee preparations as Hurricane Milton approaches landfall on Florida's western coast.

The US President said that he would attempt to reschedule the trip as well as hold a phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

The UDCG Group, the so-called Ramstein Group, was established on April 26, 2022. It is an international cooperation platform to coordinate military aid to Ukraine.(PAP)
