Duda said his talks with King Abdullah II concerned the humanitarian situation of refugees and how to help them. "We talked about the subject of aid from the European Union, support for Jordan, including helping them to cope with the migration crisis," President Duda explained.
The talks also touched on co-operation in the defence industry and the military. "The king thanked Poland for its support, for the presence of Polish soldiers in the Middle East," Duda continued. "The talks took place in a very good atmosphere. Co-operation with the Kingdom of Jordan - through His Majesty - is going very well. I'm glad, because Poland is treated with great respect in Jordan."
The president added that he had thanked the king for the decision to open an embassy in Warsaw. He also announced that he had invited Abdullah II to Poland. "I hope that visit will take place this year," he said. (PAP)
