The OECD has raised Poland's GDP growth forecast to 4.2 percent from 4.0 percent in 2019 and to 3.5 percent from 3.3 percent in 2020. In the May edition of the organisation's Economic Outlook, the OECD confirmed their earlier forecasts of the CPI and core CPI growth at 3 pct in 2020.
PM Morawiecki said that the organisation placed Poland as the growth leader among all 36 OECD member states.
The organisation recommended that Poland should tighten its fiscal policy, forecasting public deficit at 1.4 pct of the GDP in 2019 (up by 0.6 pp from the previous forecast) and to 1.0 pct in 2020 (up by 0.1 pp). (PAP)
