Zielinski, in Krakow for the appointment ceremony of the surrounding Malopolska province's new police chief, declined to discuss details of the anti-terrorism act, saying only that it aimed to introduce a comprehensive and effective protection system.
"The law aims to integrate all services and activities and provide transparent descriptions of procedures and response variants. We will merge the entire potential at our disposal to make it work better than if it were dispersed", Zielinski explained.
According to the deputy minister, Poland was currently safe from terrorism but its protection system was insufficiently integrated.
Zielinski added that his ministry wanted the new laws to be in force for the July 26-31 World Youth Day in Krakow. (PAP)
