Poland's estimated registered unemployment in July was at 5.2 percent and fell by 0.1 ppt against June, Family and Labour Minister Bozena Borys-Szopa said on Wednesday, adding that since 1991, the July unemployment rate has never been so low.

Borys-Szopa said she hoped for a similarly low unemployment rate at end-August.

The ministry's preliminary data shows that the number of unemployed likely went down by 0.9 percent to 869,300 at end-July from 877,100 at end-June.

In July, employers filed 118,600 job offers, up by 15 pct month on month, the ministry also said. (PAP)
