The Warsaw Stock Exchange is developing extremely well, Polish President Andrzej Duda pointed out inaugurating the celebration of the WSE's 25th anniversary, adding that Poland should work to be an economic leader in this part of Europe.

Not many companies were listed on the WSE in its early days, President Duda remarked. "Today there are over 400 companies on the main trading floor ... The exchange is developing excellently", he added.

"Our stock exchange is the fourth-biggest in Europe and an absolute leader in our part of Europe. That is great ... and we should work to be an economic leader in this part of Europe. ... This is a very serious task we face", the Polish president also said. (PAP)
