Storm Sabine, also known as Ciara, hit Poland on Monday with winds of up to 100 km/h killing two people in the southern mountain town of Bukowina Tatrzanska.

Following sunny weather in the Tatra mountains on Sunday, Monday brought high winds that had swept in from Germany. Shortly before 11 am the winds tore the roof off a ski equipment hire centre crushing four people. A 40-year-old woman and her daughter were killed. Two other injured people received treatment, Zakopane police spokesperson Agnieszka Szopinska told PAP. (PAP)
