A ceremony will be held in Warsaw on Saturday with the participation of President Andrzej Duda to celebrate Polish Armed Forces Day and the centenary anniversary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw.

In the afternoon, a ceremonial changing of the guard will be held in Warsaw's Pilsudskiego Square in the presence of visiting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The president will also attend mass for the motherland and Polish soldiers at the Polish Army Field Cathedral. "Andrzej Duda will hand over to the Polish Army Ordinariate the presidential pennant commemorating the centenary of the Battle of Warsaw," Presidential Minister Wojciech Kolarski told PAP.

Later at the Presidential Palace, the president will meet with Mike Pompeo, who will sign a defence deal with Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, concerning the expansion of US forces in Poland. (PAP)
