It seems that ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski will likely join the government, become a deputy prime minister and supervise the Justice Ministry, PiS parliamentary caucus head Ryszard Terlecki said on Thursday.

Asked by reporters about the unofficial information from PAP, according to which Jaroslaw Kaczynski is to join the government, Terlecki answered that "everything indicates that he will."

Terlecki added that the PiS leader will likely be appointed deputy prime minister. Answering a question about whether the PiS leader is also to head a committee for security affairs, Terlecki stated that "this is the plan." He also repeated that the Justice Ministry "will be directly subordinated to Kaczynski."

"The composition of a government will be announced in due course. The PiS leadership will meet either today or tomorrow to finally approve the shape of the coalition. And then, there will only be one step left to form a government after a reshuffle," Terlecki told reporters in the Sejm (lower house). (PAP)
