"By the end of the month, we should have about 20 percent more of those vaccinations than the accepted goal," Michal Dworczyk told a press conference. "In total, it's going to be somewhere around 5.5 million vaccinations with the first and the second dose."
As of March 17, nearly 3 million Poles had received the first jab and over 1.6 million had been fully inoculated with two doses of the vaccine.
"Our quarterly goal has already been achieved," Dworczyk said, referring to the government's target of 3 million first-dose vaccinations by the end of March. "This goal was achieved yesterday,” he added. (PAP)
