The meeting took place on Tuesday ahead of the Blanchet's talks with Polish government representatives.
Appointed as GSC in 2022, Blanchet coordinates the continuity of work and manages the development of the EU Council and the Council of the EU, advising both bodies.
In January, Poland will take over the presidency of the EU Council for six months. Currently, the rotating position remains in Hungarian hands.
Warsaw's plans for this time frame include, among other matters, addressing border EU security issues, EU-US relations, the full-scale war in Ukraine, and the escalating tensions between Poland and Belarus regarding the migration crisis triggered by Minsk in 2021.
