Sikorski told the private broadcaster Radio Zet on Wednesday that Poland will advocate creating a NATO Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC) in Bydgoszcz.
The Polish central-northern city already hosts NATO's Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC).
According to Sikorski, Poland will have a very strong position at the Washington summit as the country is spending the highest percentage of GDP on defence among all NATO members.
"First of all, we're going there as an example to follow," he said. "Second, as a country that has offered huge support for Ukraine, which is now not only a priority for (NATO - PAP) member states, but is to be enacted as the Alliance's mission."
The Polish delegation will also make the case for strengthening NATO's eastern flank, Sikorski said, adding that Poland needed to improve its air defence most. (PAP)
